Dr. Han received her medical degree from the University of Washington in Seattle\, WA. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Michigan. Dr. Han has also completed a Master’s Degree program in Biostatistics and Clinical Study Design at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Dr. Han’s research has focused on defining phenotypes in COPD using imaging. She is a lead investigator for several NIH sponsored COPD studies. She also serves on the scientific advisory committees for both the COPD Foundation and American Lung Association\, the board for the COPD Foundation and serves as a spokesperson for the American Lung Association. She is currently a Deputy Editor for the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. He is also Full Professor of Medicine and Therapeutics at UCD and St. Vincent’s University Hospital (SVUH). \nMichael Keane graduated from Ireland’s University College Dublin (UCD) in 1989 and following initial clinical training in Dublin\, moved to the University of Michigan\, Ann Arbor\, to pursue a Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in 1995. \nHe subsequently took a faculty position at the University of Michigan in 1998. In 2000\, he moved to UCLA where he became Associate Professor of Medicine and Program Director for the UCLA Interstitial Lung Disease Center and was the Medical Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit. He was also the Director of UCLA’s Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Training program. \nDr. Keane returned to UCD and SVUH in 2007 as Professor of Medicine and Therapeutics and Consultant Respiratory Physician. He has served as Chair of the Medical Board at SVUH and was a member of the hospital’s Board of Directors from 2010-2019 and interim CEO from 2015-2018. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and Royal College of Physicians London. He was appointed as Registrar at RCPI in 2021. \nProfessor Keane’s research interests center on investigation into\, and treatment of\, inflammatory lung diseases; with a particular focus on pulmonary fibrosis.
