Han \nRegister \nBiography: \nDr. MeiLan Han is a Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of Michigan Health. She earned her medical degree from the University of Washington\, Seattle\, WA. Dr. Han completed her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Michigan. She also completed a Master’s Degree program in Biostatistics and Clinical Study Design at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. \nDr. Han’s research focuses on defining COPD phenotypes using imaging. She serves on the board for the COPD Foundation\, is a spokesperson for the American Lung Association\, and is currently a Deputy Editor for the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. DESCRIPTION:Daniel Simmons\, M.D.\, Distinguished Scholar Lecture\nThursday\, March 11\, 2027 | 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm\nUCLA Faculty Club – Sequoia Room\n“Transformation of Bronchiectasis Care in the US: Early Diagnosis\, Access to Care and Treatment Algorithms” \nby Dr. Doreen Addrizzo-Harris \nRegister \n \nBiography: Doreen J. Addrizzo-Harris\, MD\, FCCP\, is the Fiona and Stanley Druckenmiller Professor of Pulmonary\, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. She has an extensive background in bronchiectasis and non-tuberculous mycobacterial infection and medical education. She serves as the Associate Director for Clinical & Academic AƯairs and is the Director of the Bronchiectasis and NTM Clinical and Translational Program at NYU. She is now serving her 26th year as the Program Director of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship. She is currently the Chair of the Clinical Care Network Steering Committee of the Bronchiectasis and NTM Association. She is also the Chair of the annual North American Bronchiectasis and NTM Symposium at NYULH each December. \nShe served as the Chair of the 6th World Bronchiectasis & NTM Conference in 2023 and is the Past President of the American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) and the Association of Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine Program Directors (APCCMPD). She is a passionate educator on the topic of bronchiectasis and NTM and is focused on bringing high quality care to patients living with these diseases. She has lectured extensively on bronchiectasis and NTM lung disease and is PI of many clinical trials in bronchiectasis and NTM lung disease. \nTrudeau Society is a program of Breathe Southern California\, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
